At Queensway Primary we strive to meet the needs of all children in an inclusive way and provide children with a broad and balanced curriculum. Our planning and provision meets the specific needs of individuals and groups of children in order to secure good or better progress and achievement.
Queensway Primary recognises as stated in the Special Education Needs and Disabilities Code of Practice (2015) that:
A child or young person has SEND if they have a learning difficulty or disability which calls for special educational provision to be made for them.
A child of compulsory school age or a young person has a learning difficulty or disability if they:
Children and young people with SEND have needs or disabilities that make it harder for them to learn than most children and young people of the same age. We have a dedicated team that works closely with children and families to identify what we can do together to support children when they need additional help.
The Leeds Local Offer is here to help you find services and information for families, children and young people with SEN and disability aged 0 to 25 living in Leeds.
Should you have any questions regarding your child do not hesitate to make a phone call or send an email to Mrs Myland.
